Karolina Cardoso brings extensive experience in compensation, benefits, and HR transformation. Born in Brazil, she is a true global citizen with a multi-cultural background. She began her career in Talent Management in Kraft Foods Brazil before moving to Italy to pursue her International MBA. While in Italy, Karolina was an international HR consultant in the area of compensation and benefits. She then moved to Switzerland to lead large-scale global HR transformation initiatives, playing a pivotal role in several mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings as a lead consultant for EY. While focused on financial outcomes of such transactions, Karolina brought a special value as she supported teams to pay particular attention to the people aspects of such programs, ensuring a smooth change process where employees felt valued.In her current position as the Global Head of Rewards at Galderma, Karolina brought her creative mind to designing and implementing a full suite of new employee reward and recognition programs fit for a new stand-alone company following the carve-out from Nestlé. Having the right programs in place to reward and recognize employees was key to attract the right talent and to ensure employees were engaged throughout the demanding journey of taking a company public just a couple of years after a major transformation. Galderma’s IPO made history as the largest placement volume in Switzerland since 2017 – and one of the largest healthcare IPOs ever. Now, her focus is on strengthening Galderma’s high-performance culture and shaping its needs as a publicly listed company, ensuring it continues to attract new capabilities needed as for the next growth cycle while still recognizing and retaining their top talent.
